QT Funded General Trading & Account Rules
The following rules apply to all account types at QT Funded to ensure a fair and secure trading environment.
Expert Advisors (EAs) & Trade Copiers
The use of Expert Advisors (EAs) and both web-based or software trade copiers is permitted, but requires prior review and approval from the firm. If an account is flagged for any reason, QT Funded may request more information about the master account. Using the same EA as other traders to place identical trades is considered group trading and is strictly prohibited, which may lead to account closure.
Prohibited Trading Strategies
To maintain a realistic trading environment, the following strategies and behaviors are strictly forbidden and may result in account termination.
- High-Frequency & Arbitrage: This includes latency arbitrage, tick scalping, reverse trading, group hedging, and any strategy that exploits system delays or floods the server.
- Toxic & Abusive Practices: Any behaviors deemed toxic by the Risk Department, including excessive one-sided positions, all-or-nothing gambling approaches, and using account management services are not allowed. All trades must be placed by the account holder.
Excessive Exposure Rule
Risking more than 75% of your daily or maximum drawdown limits in open positions is considered excessive exposure. If you pass an evaluation while violating this rule, your evaluation will be reset to Phase 1.
Inactivity Rule
If an account shows no trading activity for 30 consecutive days, it will be considered breached and will be permanently deleted without the possibility of reinstatement.
VPN, VPS, and Device Rules
The use of VPNs and VPS services is permitted. However, the account owner is responsible for protecting their credentials at all times. All trades must be conducted from a device owned by the account holder, as account sharing will result in forfeiture of the account and any simulated profits.
Code of Conduct
All traders are expected to maintain professional communication. The use of offensive language, discriminatory remarks, harassment, or any toxic behavior intended to damage the community is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate and permanent ban from all services.
Rules by Account Type: QT PRIME vs. QT POWER vs. QT INSTANT
QT PRIME Rules
- Minimum Trading Days: 4 trading days are required for each evaluation phase. For the funded stage, you need 4 trading days, with at least 2 being profitable days with a minimum of 0.5% profit each.
- News Trading: Allowed without restrictions during evaluations. On funded accounts, all trading actions (opening, closing, modifying) are prohibited within the 5-minute window before and after high-impact news. Violations are a hard breach.
- Risk Rule (Funded): Funded traders must not expose more than 2.5% of their initial account balance in open positions at any one time.
QT POWER Rules
- Minimum Trading Days: 4 trading days are required for each evaluation phase. There are no minimum trading days for the funded stage.
- News Trading: Allowed without any restrictions in all stages, including funded accounts.
- Max Risk per Trade: The maximum risk across a single trade or all open positions must not exceed 2% of the account balance. Violating this is a hard breach.
QT INSTANT Rules
- Minimum Trading Days: You must trade for at least 5 separate days before being eligible to request a withdrawal.
- News Trading: All trading actions are strictly prohibited within the 5-minute window before and after high-impact news. This is a hard breach.
- Layering Rule: Traders cannot have three or more open positions on the same asset simultaneously.
- Max Risk Rule: A maximum risk of 2% is allowed. Exceeding this is a hard breach.
- Withdrawal Rule: A minimum profit of 5% is required before a trader can request a withdrawal.
