Understanding the Alpha Capital Group Trading Rules
To succeed with this prop firm, it's crucial to understand the specific trading rules for an Alpha Capital Group funded account. Adhering to these guidelines ensures your account remains active and eligible for payouts. Below is a detailed breakdown of the key regulations you must follow.
The 30-Day Inactivity Rule
To maintain the validity of your Alpha Capital Group account, continuous engagement is required. If an account remains dormant for more than 30 consecutive days, it will be deactivated. To prevent this, traders must actively log in and maintain an interactive connection. Please be aware that once an account is deactivated due to inactivity, it cannot be reinstated.
Prohibition of "All-or-Nothing" Strategies
Alpha Capital Group strictly forbids "all-or-nothing" trading strategies. Any approach characterized by extreme risk-taking that jeopardizes the entire account in a single or few trades is not permitted and will lead to account termination.
Minimum Average Trade Duration
A key rule is that the average duration of your trades must be over 2 minutes. Furthermore, to be eligible for an Alpha Capital payout, a minimum of 50% of any requested profit must come from trades that individually lasted longer than this 2-minute threshold.
No Order Block Spamming
The execution of numerous orders in a very short timeframe, a practice often called "order block spamming," is not permitted on the Alpha Capital Group platform.
Alpha Capital Group's News Trading Rules
The policy for trading during high-impact news events varies significantly between account types. Here is a clear breakdown:
All Evaluation Programs: During your Alpha Capital challenges, news trading is fully permitted without any restrictions.
Swing Accounts: News trading is exclusively allowed for Swing account holders. However, if a trade is opened within a 4-minute window of a news release (2 minutes before or 2 minutes after), it must last longer than 2 minutes to be considered valid.
Alpha Pro Accounts: Trading is restricted during a 2-minute window before and after high-impact news events.
Alpha One, Alpha Pro 6%, and Alpha Three Accounts: For these funded accounts, trading is restricted during a 5-minute window before and after a high-impact news release.
Drawdown Rule for Alpha One Accounts
For Alpha One accounts, when your 6% trailing drawdown resets to the initial balance after you achieve a 6% profit, you must maintain a sufficient profit buffer. If all profits are withdrawn in this scenario, leaving no buffer, the account will be closed.
Strict Risk Management Policy
To enforce disciplined risk management on funded accounts, it is prohibited to consistently risk or lose between 3.5% and 5% of your capital on a single trade or on multiple trades closed at nearly the same time.
Maximum Allocation per Strategy: $300,000
The maximum capital that can be managed per individual trading strategy on a Qualified Analyst Account at Alpha Capital Group is capped at $300,000.
Maximum Lot Sizes for Funded Accounts
The maximum allowable lot sizes vary based on your account type and balance:

$25k Account: 5 lots
$50k Account: 10 lots
$100k Account: 20 lots

Withdrawal Policy:
Traders have specific payout options available depending on their chosen plan. For Alpha Pro, Alpha Pro 6%, and Alpha Three plans, you may select either Biweekly Payouts or the 2% On-Demand option during checkout. Conversely, for the Alpha Swing and Alpha One plans, only the 2% On-Demand payout option is accessible.
Biweekly Payout Details
- Payout requests can be submitted every 14 days.
- A minimum withdrawal amount of $100 in gross profits is required.
Two Percent On-Demand Payout Details
This option allows traders to initiate payout requests at any time, provided they meet specific criteria:
- Successful adherence to the 40% Best Day Rule.
- Maintaining a minimum of 2% gross profits within their account balance.
40% Best Day Rule
To ensure consistent performance, no single trading day's profits are permitted to account for more than 40% of the total accumulated profits for the qualification period.
Consistency Rules :
The on-demand withdrawal option necessitates adherence to a crucial principle: traders are required to maintain a 40% consistency rule. Furthermore, to activate this option, achieving a minimum of 2% gross profit in the account balance will be a mandatory condition.
