- Excessive Scalping: You cannot hold more than 50% of your total trades for a duration of less than one minute.
- Martingale: Opening five or more simultaneous positions on the same pair while the initial positions are in drawdown is forbidden.
- All-In Trading: Executing a single trade without a stop-loss or risking an amount that exceeds the drawdown limit in an attempt to pass or fail a challenge is not permitted.
News Trading Restrictions
Maven enforces a strict news trading policy. You cannot open or close any trades within the window of 2 minutes before to 2 minutes after a red folder (high-impact) news event. Any violation of this rule, including trades closed by an automated system, will result in the disqualification of your evaluation or challenge account. Profits generated during this restricted period will not be credited.
Payout, Withdrawal, and Consistency Rules
Understanding the Maven payout system is key. The firm has several important rules regarding withdrawals and profit consistency, especially for their Instant and Mini programs.
- Overall Payout Cap: Traders can withdraw a maximum of $10,000 per two withdrawal cycles, regardless of how many accounts they manage. Any profits exceeding this amount are capped, and account balances are reset after the two-cycle period.
- 50% Profit Consistency (Funded Stage): On funded accounts, if your total profit exceeds $5,000, no single trade or trading day may account for more than 50% of that total profit. For example, if your total profit is $8,000, the maximum profit that can come from a single day is $4,000.
- Account Buyback: You can instantly restore a breached funded account without a new challenge by paying a "Buyback" fee.
Rules Specific to the Instant Program
- 20% Consistency Score: You can only request a withdrawal when your consistency score is 20% or lower. The score is calculated as
(Biggest winning day ÷ Total profit) × 100%. If your score is higher, you must continue trading to lower it. - 1% Floating PnL Rule: At no time can your account have a floating loss (difference between balance and equity) of more than 1%. Exceeding this limit will breach the account.
- Minimum Withdrawal: You must reach a 3% profit target before you can request your first payout.
Rules Specific to the Maven Mini Program
- Payouts: You can request an immediate, one-time payout as soon as you achieve a 3% minimum profit. After this single payout, the account is closed.
- Position Limit: You can only have a maximum of 1 open trade at any given time.
- 1% Floating PnL Rule: The same 1% maximum floating loss rule from the Instant Program applies here.
- 20% Consistency Score: Withdrawals are only allowed when your consistency score is 20% or lower. Note: For the Mini program, this is calculated based on your largest winning trade, not your largest day.
