Goat Funded Trader General Trading Rules & Policies
The following rules are applicable across most Goat Funded Trader accounts to ensure fair and consistent trading practices.
News Trading Rules
News trading is generally allowed, but with a profit cap. Trades opened or closed within a 2-minute window before or after high-impact news can generate a maximum profit of 1% of the account’s initial balance. Any excess profits are removed without penalty (soft breach). Holding trades through the news window is permitted.
Policy on EAs and Copy Trading
- Expert Advisors (EAs): Only semi-automated EAs, such as those used for risk management or trade management, are permitted. Using third-party or off-the-shelf EAs is strictly prohibited.
- Copy Trading: Copy trading is only allowed between GFT funded accounts that belong to the same user. Copying from other traders or using signals that lead to group trading is forbidden and will result in account termination.
Prohibited Trading Strategies
Goat Funded Trader strictly prohibits high-risk, "all-or-nothing" strategies. This includes using over 80% of your available margin on a single trade, exploiting platform errors, hedging, and using unapproved third-party strategies. Violations can lead to an immediate account breach.
Risk Management and Trading Limits
If the risk team detects excessive risk-taking, they may impose a 1% risk limit per trade idea on your account. Failure to comply with this imposed limit will result in an immediate account breach with no eligibility for payouts.
Social Media & Public Conduct
Spreading false or negative information about Goat Funded Trader on any public platform is strictly prohibited and can result in account termination, a permanent ban, and potential legal action.
Rules by Specific Account Type
Goat Funded Trader Standard Evaluation Models (1-Step, 2-Step, 3-Step)
- Minimum Profitable Days (1-Step & 2-Step): You must achieve at least 3 profitable days, with each generating a profit of 0.5% or more of the initial balance, to pass the evaluation.
- Minimum Profitable Days (3-Step): There are no minimum profitable day requirements for this model.
Instant Funding Models (Goat & Pro)
- Minimum Trading Days: You must complete at least 5 profitable trading days (each with >=0.5% profit) before requesting a payout.
- Max Loss Per Trade: A strict -2% max loss rule applies. If your floating loss on any trade reaches this threshold, your account will be permanently closed.
Goat Funded Trader Blitz Challenge
- Max Loss Policy: If your floating profit and loss (PnL) drops below -2% of your account balance at any point, the account will be permanently closed.
- Consistency Rule (Funded Stage): To be eligible for a payout, no single trading day may account for 15% or more of your total profits.
General Payout Rules (All Programs)
- Daily Profit Cap: On funded accounts, profits are capped at $3,000 per trading day. Any excess profits will be deducted.
- Initial Payout Limits: The first two payouts are each limited to a maximum of 6% of the initial account balance. There are no limits on subsequent payouts.

Goat Funded Trader offers different payout schedules and profit splits depending on the account model. Add-ons are available to increase the profit split to 100% on most plans.
2-Step (Standard & Pro) and 3-Step Models
- Payout Frequency: Bi-weekly (every 14 days).
- Profit Split: The default profit split is 80%, with an option to increase it to 100% via an add-on.
2-Step Goat Model
- Payout Frequency: Monthly.
- Profit Split: The default profit split is 80%, which can be upgraded to 100% with an add-on.
Instant Funding Models (Goat & Pro)
- Payout Frequency: Bi-weekly (every 14 days).
- Profit Split: The default profit split is 80%, with an available add-on for a 100% share.
General Withdrawal Conditions
- Minimum Payout: The minimum withdrawal amount is $100.
- Payout Method Limits: While Rise payouts have no maximum withdrawal limit, other methods are capped. Crypto payouts are limited to $3,000 per transaction, and Skrill payouts are limited to $5,000 per transaction.
Account Scaling Plans
Goat Funded Trader offers two distinct scaling plans to reward consistent and profitable traders.
Challenge Scaling Plan
This multi-level plan increases your account balance, profit split, and adds benefits as you consistently meet performance targets. The scaling is based on your original account size.
- Level 1: After 2 months and 4 payouts with a 12% total profit, you receive a +15% capital increase and a 90% profit split.
- Level 2: After 4 months and 6 payouts, you receive a +30% capital increase, a 90% profit split, and weekly payouts.
- Level 3: After 5 months and 10 payouts, you get a +40% capital increase, a 92% profit split, a monthly salary, and a free challenge.
- Level 4 (GOAT Trader): After 6 months and 15 payouts, you get a +50% capital increase, a 95% profit split, a monthly salary, and another free challenge.

Instant Funding Scaling Plan
Traders on Goat Funded Trader Instant Funding models can scale their accounts by doubling their capital. Upon reaching a 10% profit target, you can request to scale your account. When you do, you will receive 50% of the profits made, and your account will be replaced with a new one with double the initial balance. This can be done up to 3 times. Goat Funded Trader Profit Consistency Rules for Payouts
To encourage consistent performance, a "best day" profit rule is applied to Instant programs at the time of withdrawal. The specific threshold varies by your account type:
Instant GOAT Program
For this plan, the profit from your single best trading day must not account for 15% or more of your total profit. If it exceeds this limit, you must continue trading until this condition is met before requesting a payout.
Instant PRO Program
The Instant PRO plan offers a more lenient consistency rule. Here, your single best trading day's profit must not be 20% or more of your total profit to be eligible for withdrawal. If the condition is not met, you must continue trading.
